On October 11, 2025, the Youth Pavilion at the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Abu Dhabi became a hub of global innovation. In partnership with the Environment Agency Abu Dhabi, Green Impact Solutions hosted an interactive World Café workshop titled “Building with Nature: Youth Co-Creating Scalable Environmental Solutions.”

The session moved beyond traditional dialogue, adopting a collaborative interactive format designed to turn ideas into actionable plans. We brought together a diverse group of students and young professionals to tackle pressing regional challenges, including water scarcity and sustainable development in the built environment.

A Global Dialogue for Local Solutions

The session connected a dynamic mix of perspectives from nations including the UAE, Japan, Laos, Russia, China, Jordan, Lebanon, and the USA. Participants shared their unique regional viewpoints, which led to a productive exchange of ideas for nature-positive solutions tailored to the MENA region.

Rim Abou Chahine, Founder & CEO of Green Impact Solutions, led the workshop with support from Khalifa University’s Civil & Environmental Engineering department, including the brilliant students Fayez and Ghadeer. The brainstorming session was a success. It helped participants connect with each other and build on every idea presented. This process helped the group develop environmental concepts that were both innovative and practical.

From Conversation to Concrete Action

The goal was to shift from discussion to co-creation and the outcomes delivered. Participants left the session not just with new connections, but with a shared portfolio of scalable environmental concepts. These ideas now stand as a testament to the power of youth-led collaboration and provide a strong foundation for future projects.

The success of this workshop reinforces a core belief at Green Impact Solutions: the most resilient and effective environmental solutions are born from inclusive, cross-cultural collaboration. We extend our thanks to the Environment Agency Abu Dhabi, our partners at Khalifa University, and every inspiring individual who contributed to making this session a success.
